Admissions Process

Entering treatment is one of the biggest steps in recovery and trying to navigate all the details can often feel overwhelming. At Shoreline, we do our best to alleviate any worries or stress about the admissions process. We make sure our clients feel at ease, well-informed, and prepared before entering treatment.

Admissions Steps

01

Connect With Us
You can call us at (562) 434-6007 or complete our contact form to connect with a compassionate Admissions Team member who will listen to your story and history, assess your situation, and determine how we can best help.

02

Insurance Review & Payment Options
With your consent, we will contact your insurance provider and discuss payment options. If insurance does not cover the costs, our team will discuss the financial options available to you. Note: We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

03

Medical
Clearance
At this stage, you will have already received a medical clearance form. This form requests initial labs to be taken by your primary care physician.

04

Admissions
Once you’ve been fully assessed and evaluated, it’s time to begin your journey to healing and recovery at Shoreline. We’ll connect you to our Clinical Team, select an admission date, and coordinate travel, if applicable.

Paying for Treatment

Our compassionate Admissions Team helps guide each client through their options for paying for treatment. We understand the financial aspects of treatment can be challenging and that each client’s situation is unique. Our team is available to answer financial questions, check insurance benefits, and coordinate all insurance pre-authorizations and case reviews.

In-Network Insurance

We do our best to alleviate any worries or stress about the insurance and admissions process. Our Admissions Team works with each client and their insurance company to verify their benefits. Once we learn about insurance coverage and whether all treatment costs are covered, we guide each client through the rest of the financial process. We don’t accept Medicare or Medicaid; however, we are in-network with the following insurance providers. Additionally, we can also do single case agreements if needed.

Admissions FAQs

Shoreline has provided eating disorder treatment since 1995. Additionally, we were awarded a three-year accreditation by CARF, a non-profit organization that monitors the quality of treatment programs. We’re located in Long Beach and Laguna Hills, California.
Although we embrace the 12 Steps as an incredibly valuable tool for addiction recovery, we do not utilize this model in our eating disorder treatment programs. Many clients have co-occurring addictions, which we actively address. In those cases, we support the use of AA/NA meetings/sponsors and ensure our clients can participate in these programs to supplement their eating disorder treatment.
The average length of stay in the residential level of care varies based on the individual’s needs coming into the program and their progression throughout treatment. We aren’t a set time-frame program, but rather we advocate for the appropriate level and duration of care that gives each client the best chance at sustained recovery. If utilizing insurance for coverage, the length of stay is largely dependent on insurance approval as well.
The first step is to call us at (562)-434-6007 or complete our contact form to speak with a member of our Admissions Team. We will schedule a full telephone or in-person assessment, verify insurance coverage, discuss admission dates, and respond to any questions.

If you’re ready to take the next step in the eating disorder recovery process for you or your loved one, the compassionate team at Shoreline is here to help. Give us a call at (562) 434-6007 or complete our contact form to connect with a compassionate Admissions Team member.
