Paula is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and graduated with her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount St. Mary’s University.
Paula is extremely passionate about providing mental health services to underserved communities while emphasizing cultural humility and competency. She comes with years of experience in working with foster youth, formerly incarcerated individuals, and addressing issues such as substance abuse, grief and loss, trauma, and dual diagnoses. Paula practices through a strengths-based, client-centered approach in addition to integrating parts of narrative therapy, mindfulness-based CBT, and attachment theory. Paula’s core values that lead her practice are compassion and love.”
